amazing close ups
This week I chose to try out different kind of photography and I must admit am hooked. I am psyched to do even more daring and challenging shots (at this point I think I should insure my camera).
all of today`s images have not undergone Photoshop (just a little unsharpening and resizing for web) playing around with different camera setting gives me just what I need most of the time.
The above shots were taken against a black backdrop. I dangled a 250 ml parket of milk from a light stand and directed it to a white cap from a plastic container and started shooting away. Most of the milk got wasted as I fumbled with my camera and light setting but I managed a few shots.
If you haven’t guessed by now the veggie above is a bell pepper ( Pipi hoho )
The above image is just a pile of pink card stock on a wooden table and against a “greenish” wall in the studio, dramatically lit and shot with a small aperture at a large focal length to achieve the very shallow DOF.

@Atieno, The Hoho?, I get what U mean. trust me U wouldn’t wanna move the hue slider towards Magenta on this one.
The milk?, manual mode, cranked up shutter speed, sticking a pin inside the milk for auto-focus then switching to manual focus before removing the pin, large aperture nini nini…
