Seamless beauty

This is one of the shoots I did early this week. A client rang me and booked a shoot that was to be done and emailed same day to beat a deadline.. so we didn’t waste time with makeup and such. I just set up a white seamless background and shot.

Fashion meets fineart.

Last Tuesday I hooked up with models Georgia Atieno (@Atibelle on twitter), Michelle Ayuma (@ayumyum on twitter) and stylist Furaha M. (@kayndeto on twitter) at Kuona Trust Art Centre (www.kuonatrust.org) for a fashion/fine-art shoot.

The wardrobe was provided by Lalin Designers, Zumaridi Ornate and Ke.Ko (whose All items are up-cycled). Accompanying us was a photography group dubbed Onetouch with whom I am proud to be doing collaborative shoots with.

The entire shoot was done with vehicle headlights and a security flood light as the lighting set up we anticipated did not come though. I drifted off my usual post production process to try out something new as I seek to develop my style.

A fisheye experiment

Last week, I got a chance to experiment with a fisheye lens. A fisheye lens provides a larger field of view which results in a hemispherical image this type of lenses are mostly used in meteorology but of late photographers have found use for it.

An offroad ride

Been a while since I posted something up here. Thanks y’all for the regular visits, irregardless of how much I love blogging without the readership the whole exercise would be futile. On Sundays I usually chill in my castle with the fam. Yesterday I decided to borrow a ride and flex my photography muscle but its owner (hmurimi the II) couldn’t trust me with it so he stuck around till I was done with it. This wasn’t like a planned execution… you know ..just those ideas that spring up at awkward moments (this one came as I was taking my kiamsha kinywa – some arrowroots and porridge (am no health freak but hey).
