Lightplay Portait Shoot

Got a chance to shoot a beautiful lady named Ann last week, She came to the studio for a portrait shoot after seeing some of my work and was kind enough to allow me to blog it. Bless Me Lord DVD cover shoot.

Today`s post is a little different. You get to see the making of a DVD cover that I did for Mwana Mpuku a Zambian gospel artist living in kenya. He found me through google. This was actually a redesign as the work had been given to another designer, but the video producer felt it was not satisfactory.

It took about 30 min or less to come up with the concept and shoot. It helps when you already have an idea of how you want the cover to look. In this case I wanted to illustrate asking for blessing (on the front cover) and receiving the blessing (on the back cover).

Several days later the client called me up to inform me that the producer liked it.

I`ve gone to the extent of approaching strangers if they have something I`d consider interesting, for this kind of shoots I don’t mind going pro bono.
